Themed “Re-economy: Creating a new plastics economy”, the Singapore Environment Council’s Conference Day provided a platform for SEC to gain further insights on the plastic resource ecosystem and explore how Singapore can create a new plastics economy by working together to close the plastic waste loop.

Discussions were centered around the need to simplify the recycling process and ramp up public education, through campaigns, to increase recycling rates.

The event also recognised sustainability efforts by the corporate sector, through the Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards Ceremony.
