The Energy Saving Challenge was launched at Northpoint City on 5 May. The challenge is a call to households to practise simple energy-saving habits as a way of life to reduce their electricity consumption and contribute to a sustainable environment.

Under this Challenge, participants who reduce their electricity use by 1% or more for the Challenge Period could stand to win prizes worth more than $60,000 in total.

Last year’s challenge saw a total of 330,000 kWh of electricity saved – enough to power 1,000 three-room flats for more than a month.

It is as simple as switching off your appliances after use, setting your air-conditioner to 25°C, and choosing energy efficient appliances. These simple habits can help you lower your utility bills, and contribute to climate action.

Sign up for the challenge at today! Together, we can do our part for climate action.
